Trip to Siargao Island

When my Tito arrived at Butuan City, he then invites us if we would love to go  with them in Siargao  Island. It is perfectly situated 800 kilometers southeast of Manila in the province of Surigao del Norte. I was shocked when I hear that its a "tear-drop" shaped island. talaga?  It really is "tear-drop" shaped, just a few hours after you deport from Surigao City.

While your on the barge enjoy the beautiful scenario: the islands and islets, you will even crossed the Dinagat Group of Islands. You will witness some of the white islands that has never been visited by tourist. It really a must try!!!

Siargao Island is also known as the Surfing Capital of the Philippines. Espicially in Cloud 9, where the annual Siargao Cup, a domestic and international surfing competition sponsored by the provincial government of Surigao del Norte.

I didn't bring that much clothes so i just did jumped into my bag and wear this clothes.^_^ Im not really fan of buying expensive clothes or branded accesories for myself. Everytime I dont do anything in the house I just go out there and go to the place where  I think most of the people nowadays love, the UKAY-UKAY.

Together with my Family (from left to right) Joseph, Louise, Me, Jake, my Tita Lita, my Lola, Kim & my Tito Boyet - hehehe siya ang kumukuha ng picture! After we arrived at Port of Dapa, we ate first at one of the nearest bakeshop there. They offer such a very delicious & mouth-watering bake goods yet so affordable - hehe nakalimutan ko ang name ng bakeshop. And after we full our stomach with such delicious treats we took a ride at Dapa Bus and Jeepny  Terminal to get to the house of my Tito's friend in San Benito, its in the North-East of the island. We traveled for about 2 hours because the road is very muddy and very rough due to the rainy period but it was very F.U.N.!!!
So we arrived at the house of my Tito's friend (the woman wearing yellow t-shirt). They are very hospitable and very humorous people. They offer such very delicious delicacies and even dishes - i forgot to took some pics!

Talagang napagod ang Lola ko!

The next day we're ready to take off again to go to our next destination, Cloud 9, General Luna where the famous Surfing  Cup takes place - yahoo!!!.
Finally for about an hour of riding a motorcycle we did arrive at our destination. But getting here wasn't that easy because on our way back to Dapa our vehicle got stock on the road 'cuz the wheel got stocked on the mud. The wheel won't turn. Gladly a Tanduay delivery truck passed and we ask for some help. And they did! They did help us getting the car out of the mud. they made such a great help. The driver of the vehicle said that he cant take us to Dapa anymore because of the damage and we're so sorry about it. So my Tito decided ask again the driver of the truck if they could give us a ride and they say SURE!. They really made such a great help to us. They let us ride inside the truck until we reached the terminal. So again I wanna say thank you to all the people who help us esp. hahaha parang naging sponsor pa ang Tanduay LoL.

Sssssarrraaaappp mag surfing...pano eh! hindi naman ako marunong...

I had very fun time with my family on that day.Next time I would really bring my own camera to capture more photos... LC
